THE POLITICAL AND LEADERSHIP RAMIFICATIONS OF GOVERNOR ABIGAIL SPANBERGER'S PICK FOR DIRECTOR OF THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS FOR THE PEOPLE OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA By William Thorpe

Pictures are taken from the internet and are used for illustrative purposes only
Candidate Abigail Spanberger, if I'm to use the parlance of the World of Virginia's Tennis Icon Arthur Ashe, feted with base on Richmond's Monument Avenue, "aced" the servings of the political issues and questions of her 2025 gubernatorial Campaign to become Governor of The Commonwealth of Virginia. An accomplishment, notwithstanding it's historic nature of her emergence as First Female and Woman Governor of The Commonwealth of Virginia was already at Match Point, considering the fundamental, again to use the tennis parlance, straightforward serving of the issues and questions, which were, the affordability of life and existence in the Commonwealth. In other words the Politics of the moment was a straightforward serving and all she had to do was ace it by speaking to it. This recognition and capacity to articulate it has nothing to do with Leadership and in no way, form or manner does it indicate such. Candidate Spanberger's capacity to articulate or humanize the circumstances of affordability confronting the Virginian, wasn't in itself as I've pointed out indicative of leadership, which its expression would require a willingness to excavate the fact for the people of Virginia, that the issue and question of affordability of life and existence required and requires a more systemic and structural scrutiny and revelatory analysis, and that will require the originality of and ability of leadership, because unraveling the nature of "affordability", requires the courage to confront its orthodoxy and status quo underpinnings. I BEGIN: Just because Candidate Abigail Spanberger gave us the PG-13-articulation of "affordability" doesn't mean its more mature and primordial nature disappeared, because it now stands arrayed in all of its inexorability demanding the husbandry of leadership, which Governor Abigail Spanberger with her selection of Joseph W. Walters as the next Director of The Virginia Department of Corrections, is showing she hasn't found and lacks. The PG-13-affordability critique, on whose sails Governor Spanberger glided into history as Virginia's First Female Governor, was an end of a more diabolical phenomenon, that of the destruction of the process and terms of the Social Contract in two aspects, Nationally and State, which Abigail Spanberger clearly recognized because even though she wasn't explicit in stating such, its intimation was a latent backdrop because, what is affordable life and existence if there isn't any fair administration of law, as Social Contract terms, giving process to the necessary transactions of value exchange and its stability. So Ms. Spanberger was well aware that without that respect and subordination to the rule of law and its process, any discussion, debate and critique of affordability was moot, tantamount to that proverbial fiddling while Rome burned. Candidate and now Governor, Abigail Spanberger knew that the primary and only significant and relevant question facing Virginia as well as the Nation was and is IMPUNITY and its DICTATORSHIP. In Virginia its most prevalent and pernicious existence is in the form and professional behavior of the Virginia Prison Official and if Abigail Spanberger as Governor of Virginia is expected to and would be able to confront, that more basic impunity and it's dictatorship careening with its National aspect, how in the hell can she do so when not only is she affirming but endorsing it by selecting a cog in its Virginia machinery for Director of Virginia's Department of Corrections.

YOU KNOW ITS TIME THE PEOPLE OF VIRGINIA, SAID WAIT A MINUTE WHAT EXACTLY IS THE VIRGINIA PRISON OFFICIAL DOING AND WHAT DOES ANY OF IT HAVE TO DO WITH THE CONVICTION OF A LAW VIOLATION By William Thorpe

Pictures are taken from the internet and are used for illustrative purposes only
Recently the push for legislative action on Virginia Prisoner visitation was spoken on a bit in, parts of Virginia's media and the experience of a Virginia citizen from Fredericksburg, visiting a loved one at Virginia's Greensville Prison was shared. First of all the gist of her account was how a Virginia prison official at Greensville summarily determined that the blouse she had on was inappropriate. You know I'm a Virginia prisoner but exiled to the Texas prison system, but under Virginia's Jurisdiction and my primary focus has unconditionally been on the accountability-function of the prison official, because every data point and metric of the imprisonment-condition and its circumstance, is about the prison official's presumptions of irreproachability and its subsequent impunity and I write enough on it and it isn't like the WVTF story on Michelle G.'s visitation experience at Greensville was an epiphany or eureka moment but what it presented was again that without qualification, in stark relief fraudulence and charade of an enterprise, that despite its legitimate human conditional utility and actual historical formulations, has appropriated those historical formulations of "justice" and the pursuit of repairing harm and under its pretext incorrigibly labored to continue a practice, a political-economy construct of the most debased imaginable, that of chattel enslavement, which contrary to the theological narrative of "original sin", is the one and only bane and nemesis of the Human Condition. So what we encounter are those tell tale signature stamp reminders that Virginia's imprisonment circumstance and its prison condition has nothing to do with that speculative application of "justice" and its current verbiage of "public safety", because everything about the imprisonment circumstance indicates that induced schizophrenia of a corrupt and deceitful intent. First of all where do we have evidence that to create and present a functional socio-person, (which Virginia's imprisonment scheme claims anticipation) the process is that of dehumanization? And what the People of Virginia have to realize is the lexicon and vocabulary of the Virginia Prison Official, is functional double speak or euphemistic, intentionally constructed for the purpose and work of dehumanizing the Virginia prisoner, which is also why the Virginia prison official is eel-like slippery against accountability and I apologize to eels for the metaphor. The point is and I challenge not the incorrigible Virginia prison official but their apologist who do so in the good faith that, imprisonment as expression of the fair administration of Law is a necessary fact of Society, which I agree, that yes a Society has to have a mechanism of administering its laws and even prison abolitionist don't argue or debate this, the issue however is the Frankensteinism of it. Virginia's imprisonment circumstance is a Frankenstein creation struggling to hide and conceal the fact that its ulterior motive is the exploitation of the compromise of the 13th Amendment to The Constitution of The United States, that despite the Civil War that subjected abolishment of slavery onto the slave owning States, it Nationalized slavery, with its ".....except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction".We see this because, if as the Virginia prison official touts a preparation of the prisoner for reentry into Society, why is the imprisonment circumstance asocial?

CONGRATULATIONS ARE REQUIRED FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS OF THE VIRGINIA PRISONER FOR THE MATURE RECOGNITION THAT THE ACCOUNTABILITY-FUNCTION OF VIRGINIA PRISON REFORM IS INHERENTLY ABOUT SHARING AND ELEVATING ISSUES AS MAIN STREAM TOPICS By William Thorpe

Pictures are taken from the internet and are used for illustrative purposes only
That Community and State wide exhalation of accomplishment and relief, by The Families, Friends and collectively the People of Virginia at the fact that Chadwick Dotson, Director of Virginia's Prison System, has finally got his good riddance and Governor-Elect Abigail Spanberger can spend some of her good-will with the People and present her grasp of that necessary accountability-function as applied towards the Virginia Prison Official, by setting its tone, with the replacement. For too long we have allowed conniving minds amongst The People to pounce on, seize and subsequently exploit the already fraught issue and circumstance of "harm" caused by criminal violations, as mechanism of their business of securing their realized socio-personhood intentions. Whether and specifically those who would assume political-leadership in the Commonwealth of Virginia actually give "thought" to resolving those natural occurring contradictions and the much basic antagonism of the Commonwealth's Social Contract other than and besides tactical formulations presented by Campaign Managers and Political Consultants has always been a question of the intellectual and emotional tolerance of the people. Or when both the people and their political leaders regardless of reason will not confront the status quo of dysfunction, the emergence of its critical mass then imposes its dialectic regardless of the social contracts narrative-will and capability, demanding resolution, meaning the People, irrespective of tolerance threshold are now compelled to pay attention and embody that simple but encapsulating," of, by and for the people", and its maturtity of recognition that they are not mere part time stake holders or its objective, its subjects, despite the Social Contracts narrative, but are "the" Social Contract or its motive and life force. Which is what the People of The Commonwealth of Virginia spearheaded by and with the efforts and energies of Families and Friends of the Virginia Prisoner recognized and realized with the Electoral Process or November 2025 culminating in the historic emergence and triumph of Abigail Spanberger, that the proverbial "wheels were off the cart", in all aspects of the Commonwealth's Social Contract, meaning Virginia was at its critical mass horizon. Because when imprisoned Virginia citizens are compelled to speak with the desperation of self-immolation, setting themselves on fire, there is nothing Virginia society and the people can do, save to collectively pause, sit up and recognize that, No, this isn't what Virginia is constituted as, nor its aspirations for. Further indication of the dysfunction reaching and attaining critical mass was the fundamentally corrupt nature of the response from the then Executive of the Commonwealth Governor Glenn Youngkin and his Director of The Virginia Department of Corrections, Chadwick Dotson, both downplaying the enormity and the bizarreness of prisoners of the State of Virginia setting themselves on fire as speech in protest of the savage and barbarous conditions of imprisonment. To say that the response from the Youngkin Administration and Dotson's Directorate were revelatory of moral failings belies the fact that, its dismissiveness and cavalier existence is the "normal" character stance, philosophy and political position towards the Virginia prisoner by Virginia Republicans. Family and Friends of the Virginia Prisoner exposed it.

WHAT CHADWICK DOTSON'S TENURE AS DIRECTOR OF THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS, BESIDES THE GOOD RIDDANCE, STATES: IS THE PEOPLE OF VIRGINIA MUST PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT THE VIRGINIA PRISON OFFICIAL DOES, BECAUSE ITS IN THE NAME OF THE PEOPLE By William Thorpe

Pictures are taken from the internet and are used for illustrative purposes only
On 1/13/26 Julia Broberg of WRIC ABC News, confirmed the news, that had already been shared by an alert and attentive Virginian on VIRGINIA PRISONS ACCOUNTABILITY COMMITTEE, FACE BOOK PAGE, that the in over his head Chadwick Dotson, Director of The Virginia Department of Corrections had finally got his good riddance, in the story titled VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS DIRECTOR CHADWICK DOTSON TO LEAVE AS SPANBERGER ADMINISTRATION TAKES OFFICE. Of course to the People of Virginia this isn't only great, but exceptional news and to the Virginia Prisoner, its okay so let's see what tone incoming Governor Abigail Spanberger sets with holding the Virginia Prison Official accountable, because the self-serving status quo, shamelessly and incorrigibly evidenced in Dotson's flailing and gasping comments of what ?, his, "I haven't come to bury Caesar" moment or is it another example of his seedy tenure, a Swan song, cannot continue. No one is irreproachable, no one and in particular those given the privilege of authority as the Virginia prison official. I leave much more comprehensive and incisive response to Dotson's in summation of his tenure drivel, to Virginian Family, Friends of the Virginia Prisoner and most importantly victims of the adjudicated acts of the Virginia prisoner, because its a travesty of everything that claims recognition of a victim's experienced harm, when the response then is to in turn break the same law and process that is intended to convey an aspiration of justiciability as the Virginia prison official does in the treatment of the Virginia Prisoner in their professional capacity. What I want to respond a bit to is Julia Broberg of WRIC ABC news and its in this context. Look Ms. Broberg, contrary to the koolAid propaganda that you and your colleagues are accustomed to. The Virginia Prisoner isn't a specific type of human being and socio-person existing to be objectified by the hypocrisies and Steve Urkel-like oops did I do that misadventures of the sadistic presumptions of the Virginia prison official and for too long Virginia's main stream media has taken what is by any standard an unjustifiable stance, that is of disservice to the People of Virginia in the communication of Virginia prison official pronouncements. In your 1/13/26 WRIC-ABC NEWS on the departure of Chadwick Dotson, you did what you're clearly used to which is swallowing hook and sinker stuff that comes out of the Virginia Prison Official mouth, as a matter of fact, the Bible and other religious works are not given the sort of presumptions as Virginia Department of Corrections speech. You repeated Chadwick Dotson's assertions without any qualification that everything he said must be taken with a grain of salt and, yes you'd still have been within your idealistic notions of whatever passes for journalism these days. Simply throwing out an anaemic and quite frankly anorexic statement that an investigation into Red Onion, that prisoners set themselves on fire, then lumping in that a prison guard was killed is in itself the sort of editorializing you and your colleagues have slyly practiced when dismissing a counter status quo narrative, yet claiming you don't editorialize. Chadwick Dotson tenure as Director was rife and full of nothing less than the Virginia prison official pining for pre-Civil War Virginia and all you had to do is interrogate it, instead of giving us quoted Dotson pablum, indicative of the Virginia prison official's mind set of his/her expected professionalism.

SOMETHING IS OFF WITH OUR PERCEPTION AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE RELATIONSHIP HELD WITH OUR POLITICIANS by William Thorpe

Pictures are taken from the internet and are used for illustrative purposes only
I'm a prisoner under Virginia's jurisdiction as such, my relative perception of the Virginia Politician is primarily under the rubric of the necessary and fundamental issue of prison reform and the Virginia prison officials' accountability-function. I BEGIN : There seems to be a disconnect with the perception, understanding and the anticipated response to or in other words there is this expectation, that in a lot of ways borders on the paternalistic, of the perception and understanding of the relationship held with the Virginia politician as if there is this confusion of the nature and exact terms of the relationship between the People and the Politician they voted for. For example, there is this murmuring that Governor-Elect Abigail Spanberger's position on Virginia's criminal justice infrastructure along with the inexorable and inevitable reform isn't clearly known and properly understood. Now publicly this is factual. However, the question and its speculation reveals something that is too damn fundamental to this simple and basic existence of being human, that society as a specific and particular entity has nothing to do with. In other words when an issue is developed and organized with that maturity of its critical mass, it dictates, because it is the will of the people. So the issue is then straight forward, the question of Virginia's Justice Infrastructure and reform of its Prison System, isn't dependent on the supposed benevolence or "morality" of a politician, but it is the work, energy and effort of its development as a critical mass value by the people within the demands of Virginia's Social Contract, because the savagery and barbarism of the Virginia prison officials professional behavior claims to have its legitimacy from the presumption that it is the desired intent and will of the People of Virginia. So if governmental activity claims its existence, as being supported by the people and if it is understood that the activity notwithstanding its supposed popular support is at odds and contrary to the constituted aspirations of the Social Contract, which in this case, is the Commonwealth of Virginia and the much needed reform of its decrepit Prison System, then the energies of the People should go towards reminding fellow Virginians, why dehumanization of the Virginia Prisoner as prison policy is simply incompatible with Virginia's civilization. Surrendering on this stance and the work of communicating the reminder to fellow Virginian, upon the expectation that elected politicians will instinctively remember their person hood and shake off that crystalized hypocrisy and its antagonisms that defined their electoral success, is quite frankly naiveté. What a Politician presents is relative responsiveness and the level of critical mass that will bring on their cognizance of that proverbial which way are the political winds blowing or in plain speak, to what extent is it politically advantageous or a liability. We cannot simply expect the status quo of which the politician is a foot soldier to recognize that the existence of its impunity as the mechanism of its business of pursuing its self-interest, its survival, as it pays lip service to "equality under law" as a sedative of control (which has nothing to do with "Justice") while concealing that its real existence is already in enmity with the people which is its two-faced nature, as it unmasks its true self, personified in the corrupted labor, but not absolved, of the Virginia Prison Official.

OUR WRITINGS AND SPEECH ON THE VIRGINIA PRISON SYSTEM AND CONDITION SERVES A COUPLE OF PURPOSES By William Thorpe

Pictures are taken from the internet and are used for illustrative purposes only
If it was just about a narrative of the savagery and barbarism of the Virginia Prison Official's professional behavior, then besides accounts by the harmed Virginia Prisoner to Family, Friends and formal recounts, chronicled in Virginia law books would sure as hell convey and accomplish it. But writings and speech on the Virginia Prison system and condition by Virginia prisoners serves a more primary and practical function, which is, a connecting insight into the fact that, the Virginia prison system is a fundamental anticipation and paradoxical fact of Virginia society as historically structured by its Social Contract. A illustration of this, one of the allies of the Virginia prisoner was recently participating in a rally, protesting the ICE murder of Ms. Renee Good of Minneapolis and they had the presence of mind to recognize the sameness of the dynamics and issues, one having a National character, the State murder of a Mother of 3 kids with Virginia Prison reform and holding the Virginia Prison official accountable for their professional behavior. What insight from the Virginia prisoner organically presents is that tying up of the loose ends of the ever present contradictions and antagonisms revelatory of the various conniving intersections of terms of Virginia's Social Contract, that despite being experienced as a daily dialectic of life and existence in Virginia society, the people can, understandably be excused for the lack of attention, being ignorant of and not noticing the obvious connections, for one due to the deliberate and purposeful formulations of onerous terms of Virginia's Social Contract, that is specifically imposed to cause that lack of attention and inhibit and distort the necessary clarity of insight, requisite or required for the people to attain and achieve that mature and maximal realization as Social Person. The space then which insight from the Virginia prisoner works to fill, is one that even as the Virginia Prison official dehumanizes the Virginia prisoner as philosophy, the dehumanization spills over or we should reverse phrase it and say, that the spill over is a symbiotic sloshing from society to the prison and from the prison to society, as the dehumanization also begins from and as basis of Virginia society. Not to get caught and twisted up in the "chicken or egg-ness" of it, the fact is dehumanization of the human person, isn't ever conditional, because as soon as human life and its person is reduced to otherness and less than, which is the attitude of the Virginia Prison official and their Virginia Republican political ally towards what is Virginia's justice imposition and its prisoner subject, all human life and person are subsequently dehumanized as fact of the emergence of that above-the-lawism and its impunity. What insight from the Virginia prisoner accomplishes is it provides, equips and enables that correct scrutiny of anything coming out of the mouths of the Virginia Prison official and their allies, be it Religion, Institutional Establishment of Virginia's Social Contract on its terms as nothing more than crass supposititious that only pursue one purpose, which is impeding that maximal and mature realization of the Virginia Social Person, demanding the accountability-function in all aspects and terms of Virginia's Social Contract.

SO WHAT IS VIRGINIA PRISON REFORM ACTIVISM NOW THAT A NEW DEMOCRATIC GOVERNOR IS COMING IN By William Thorpe

Pictures are taken from the internet and are used for illustrative purposes only
Let me begin by saying, that there are those who profess and claim to want prison reform in Virginia in all aspects, then they turn right around and undermine its efforts. Whether the sabotage is conscious or not is besides the point, because the results are the same. Undermining the efforts and work of wrangling a system to respect its own formulations, which is reform, has myriad expressions and variegated forms and again it makes no difference if it is conscious and diabolical or due to the consequences of ignorance, the results are the same regardless of immediacy, because impunity and its contradictions confronts only one objective, its resolve and excise. The work of being anti the mess of Virginia's Social Contract, as it is currently exposed in the hapless circumstance of its Prison System, is as historic as the existence of Virginia, firstly as an entity of commercial investment and speculation, then the subsequent exploitation. At each turn the dynamic of reform or to distill it to its irreducible function, the realization that, recognizing that terms and relations of the Social Contract is a human person with dictatorial agency objectified as terms of approximate value exchange, has as a ever present Caduceus, Siamese twin like been there. To what extent this recognition of the human person has been perfected isn't a reflection of its value, hell how many Virginians died during the Civil War in its opposition, yet here we are in the Virginia of the 21st Century, with gleaming tombstones marking the then and now of Lee's surrender on April 9,1865 at Appomattox to Grant and this, see this case: VA. STATE CONF. NAACP v. CNTY.SCH.BD.OF SHENANDOAH CNTY., 2025 U.S.DIST.LEXIS 11726 exists as a damn continuum of one of the worst slaughter of human beings ever under a banner that some humans were less, which is the exact and identical philosophy pursued by the Virginia Department of Corrections in its practice of dehumanizing the Virginia prisoner and maintained in its incorrigible opposition to reform, a practical mockery of those lives lost compelling and dictating Lee's surrender, a mockery that is nothing less than a dehumanization which isn't irony in its manifestation against the Virginia prisoner, but defiant speech of incorrigibility. I've developed the point of what this moment of Governor Abigail Spanberger's Administration presents, with firstly, prison reform in Virginia isn't apart from or besides that confrontation with certain fundamental facts that either educate and enlighten or engulf us in that bliss of ignorance which regardless of which denies that dehumanizing narrative of the Virginia Department of Corrections in its pursuit of its self-interest. Secondly, Dehumanization isn't a unilateral existence, it requires and is a reflection of a relationship The issue isn't complicity, tacit cooperation or compulsion but how is it opposed. The state, condition and circumstance of the Virginia prisoner isn't simply and only confined to the concertina and fenced enclosures of Virginia's prisons, but it extends or I should accurately and correctly put it as a symbiotic existence with all that is Virginia. What I'm saying is, let's take for example the neglect and deprivation of medical care to the prisoner, despite the fact that the prisoner is directly harmed by the deprivation and neglect, what do you think is happening to the medical and health care professional who is now corrupted due to their violation of their Hippocratic Oath and doesn't the ensuing corruption taint and makes toxic the healthcare professional as a social person.

WE DON'T KNOW HOW CONSCIENTIOUS GOVERNOR ABIGAIL SPANBERGER WILL BE ON ACCOUNTABILITY-FUNCTION, BUT THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS SIMPLY CANNOT CONTINUE BEING ABOVE LAW By William Thorpe

Pictures are taken from the internet and are used for illustrative purposes only
Virginia Prisoners have been shipped out to other State Prison Systems, away from Family all because the current Executive-Directorate of the Virginia Department of Corrections could do so. Of course they'll assert all sorts of squaring the circle reasons and logic, but if every circumstance were interrogated on its merits, the People of Virginia will recognize that the only logic is the dictatorship of they, the Virginia Prison Official can so they did. We currently have members on Virginia's Parole Board who expressly have stated, publicly, unequivocally that they would never agree to the parole of certain prisoners, which, would not only be a disqualifier and grounds for their removal off the Board and termination of employment, but cause for legal action of defrauding the People of The Commonwealth of Virginia and failing to administer fairly the laws of Virginia, were we in a honest Social Contract environment, but we are not. We have a culture and tradition maintained by the Virginia Prison Official that perceives the Virginia Prisoner and in extension the social environment of origin as "at odds with", as such is less than, therefore warranting treatment of the enemy combatant and if this isn't explicit it is tacitly accepted as objective of Virginia's Social Contract narrative. We see this in the manner, Virginia's corporate media treats and presents all and any exposé of misdeeds of the Virginia Prison official, either by minimizing or being dismissive. We see concurrently and in congruence, the brazen compromise and at the expense of, whatever honesty was imbued in that Social Contract pursuit of making whole "harm" suffered by "the people", due to the selectivity of what is accepted and understood within the accountability-function parameters as "harm", with the systemic, down played and ignored, while the particular and specific, hyped and sensationalized, despite the fact both the systemic and specific result in "harm". So we see The Commonwealth of Virginia appropriating more treasure and the corruption of labor to dehumanize the people as function of its Justice Infrastructure, including the prison system, than it does to fund their education, health care and job training. Whether Governor Abigail Spanberger can actually rouse Virginia's accountability-function from its Rip Van Winkle slumber is besides the point but what is required of her is what tone will she set? Will she in no uncertain terms convey it to the Virginia Prison Official that the Virginia Prisoner is not an experiment, or a public safety word salad mission statement, or any of those euphemistic buzz cliches deployed and exploited as professional behavior and its sham philosophy as cover and camouflage for that one and only impunity and its above-the-lawism culture and tradition habit of the Virginia Prison official. Yes, Virginia already has the necessary mechanics of accountability-function, what is lacking is its application and practice of "equality under law".

THE INAUGURAL: 2026 VIRGINIA PRISON REFORM SENTINEL RECOGNITION By William Thorpe

Pictures are taken from the internet and are used for illustrative purposes only

Back in the early 1980's as I was growing up in Virginia's hell holes, namely, THE WALL aka 500 Spring St. aka THE VIRGINIA STATE PENITENTIARY, STATE FARM aka POWHATAN CORRECTIONAL CENTER and DA 'BURG aka MECKLENBURG CORRECTIONAL CENTER, with a considerable amount of time in the Solitary Confinement cages of each Prison, we had a Woman MARIE DEANS who has passed, may her existence forever be immortalized, whose work was pure fire, in ensuring that the Virginia Prison Official understood that as much as they plyed in sadism and immunity, they were accountable because she was the ever watchful eye holding and drawing the line. In plain speak she was a SENTINEL and it's in her immortality that I recognize these 3 (three) resolute Virginia Women who are continuing what our Women, our Sistahs have forever done, BE ALERT and WATCH even when we haven't respected, recognized and acknowledged their tireless efforts. Well its my intention to change that (and I trust others will come on board and help in firmly establishing, the SENTINEL RECOGNITION as a defacto celebration showing that where the Virginia Prison Official and allies would dehumanize, we the Virginia Prisoner affirm Humanness and that one and only truth, which is the ACCOUNTABILITY-FUNCTION anchoring us all).So with this INAUGURAL: 2026 VIRGINIA PRISON REFORM SENTINEL RECOGNITION, I shout out NICOLE DEYO of BENDING THE BARS. Nicole as all others who Sentinel like hold the Virginia Prison official to account, do so tirelessly and ceaselessly not because they are anti-Justice, but what they are anti and resolutely stand against and oppose is savagery, barbarism and dehumanization done under law by a system that claims the qualification of Law, while cravenly spitting in its face as a tool and medium of reducing demographics of The People to less than. So she gets this 2026 VIRGINIA PRISON REFORM SENTINEL RECOGNITION Shout Out. Our next recipient is APRIL WRIGHT of UNITING PRISONERS RELATIVES ORGANIZING AGAINST REPRESSION (UPROAR) April exemplifies the classic Virginia Mother whose son is imprisoned by the Commonwealth of Virginia and naturally and commonsensically doesn't have to like the fact her child is behind bars, but as a Virginia citizen, a participant in its Social Contract, she understands that the primary function of government is the Fair Administration of the Law, as such she doesn't (and no one should expect her to) have to like the law and its application to her Son, But this is where that supposed and expected Fair Administration of Law as it relates to her Son's imprisonment circumstance and conditions has been flipped, distorted and turned upside down. Because just as April exemplifies and represents the classic Mother whose son is caught up in the justice system, she also embodies that norm of it's insufferable injustice and experience that the average Virginia Mother lives with due to the savagery and barbarism her son has been subjected to by the Virginia Prison official. Her resolute perseverance demands this 2026 VIRGINIA PRISON REFORM SENTINEL RECOGNITION. Last but not least is MARVA AUSTIN of THE PRISONERS RIGHTS CLINC. Marva speaks for us the Virginia Prisoner on the fraud and vindictive farce of what's left of Virginia's Parole process, because SENTINEL like, she recognizes, its seizure and perversion by reactionaries. She gets this Shout Out.

THERE ARE A LOT WE TAKE FOR GRANTED IN THIS WORK OF HOLDING THE VIRGINIA PRISON OFFICIAL ACCOUNTABLE By William Thorpe

Pictures are taken from the internet and are used for illustrative purposes only

First of all, it is more than "speaking truth to power" as the idealistic refrain goes and my saying this isn't implication that I'm diminishing its utility. But what I'm saying is the formulation, "speaking truth to power", which in any context automatically entails a concession of agency, when agency is understood as that ability to apply or put into practice that which would naturally negate the necessity of the formulation and what I also mean by agency is the role that when we, even as subjects are exhibiting what in effect, fact and practice is "agency" by pushing back, which is what the work of holding the Virginia prison official accountable is, against the status quo narrative, for example the narrative that insidiously assumes that the Virginia prison official occupies a privileged professional and social position, as such is above law, which for it to exist, means we are its objects deprived of agency or to put it bluntly we are dehumanized according to its structures and purpose of subordination as defined by its constructed suppositions, that we lack and are incapable of "interests", or in clear speech we are less than, without any specific or general claims to the functional realization of our full humanness as anticipated by Virginia's Social Contract and its terms, which then naturally and consequently means we are at its mercy, without any recognizable will and capacity to present an equal counter narrative. We see this on all fronts of our treatment and relationships with the functions of the State of Virginia, irrespective of our social state and condition of being Free or Imprisoned. Now this capacity to present a counter narrative on our terms as firstly, opposition to violations of terms of the Social Contract and definitions and secondly, that reset and reminder that contrary to any immature presumptions and pursuits of supremacy as revealed as that beyond reproach insinuations resulting in a tolerance of the impunity of for example and for purposes of this work, the Virginia Prison Official as a personification of that dictatorship narrative of subordination. What we take for granted and it isn't that we are incapable of its recognition, but for a universe of reasons that this work is not the place for its scrutiny and analysis, we over look its significance while responding to its existence even as we over look it. What I'm hammering at is the fact that the question of the Virginia prison official's behavior is squarely a political one as such what we have to come to terms with is, its as all other political questions meaning," in whose interests". Who benefits from the misbehavior of the Virginia prison official, what agenda is pursued and satisfied by the dehumanization of the Virginia prisoner, in what form and manner is the exploitation of the various characterizations of Virginia's imprisonment scheme done and how is it done and maintained, these are just some of the questions we must confront and then resolve. The first thing we must and have to come to terms with is no one faction in Virginia society and the Social Contract lattice has a monopoly on answers, notwithstanding and despite the fact that we do take for granted that certain factions do and this recognition and our ability to then reclaim the narrative in its context that running a foul of law isn't endemic to a demographic, but is symptomatic of sets of relations that we all as Humans have something to say to, is part of the work.

SO WHAT DOES, MERRY CHRISTMAS vs HAPPY HOLIDAYS HAVE TO DO WITH HOLDING THE VIRGINIA PRISON OFFICIAL ACCOUNTABLE, COME TO FIND OUT A LOT By William Thorpe

Man there are so many word flips I could've titled this work with, each making the same point: which is when a Society is fast approaching its Super Nova moment, the first things to go are the fissures, which, when healthy, fulfill and satisfy the social physics of contraction and expansion and are held and kept in place by the counter balancing equilibrium of the center must hold gravity of competing interests and that accompanying inherent accountability-function necessary and a must for survival. But when that socio physics of contraction and expansion or its more recognizable presence as Contradictions and Antagonisms, treats its necessary for survival and existence accountability-function as a nuisance and impediment, what we encounter are that proverbial fiddling as Rome burns expressed as an inordinate expenditure of energies on the production of for example, a sophistry cataloguing electoral activity and its accountability-function on the terms of if one says Merry Christmas vs Happy Holidays, a par none existence of Social inanities, insidiously serving the function and purpose of distracting and working double time at distorting the fact that the accountability-function or rule of law, its due process and fair administration, necessary and a requisite for the survival and existence of the people as THE BUSINESS OF BEING HUMAN is pursued and realized, has been tossed aside, because its much easier to enslave than to exercise the prescience and mental acuity of recognizing and its value, that when all in the boat are rowing in the same direction and not out of the lash of the whip and its inducing idealistic fear, but of the cognition and understanding that "we are all in the boat together, equal under the consequence of rocking it", which for that ingenious and economic purpose, of freeing up brain space for other realizations, we have embodied as the ACCOUNTABILITY-FUNCTION. So what Merry Christmas vs Happy Holidays have to do with holding the Virginia prison official accountable, is everything, because it reveals to what extent, as the People we are cognizant of the fact that when we all are subordinate to and subject to a norm of accountability, each according to terms of equality of process, whether we are able to pursue maximally, to the constructive realization of our existence and person hood, isn't dependent on the dictatorial presumptions and its antagonisms of whether you greeted and recognized your fellow human in Society, which for purposes of this work, the Commonwealth of Virginia, with Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays.
