SOMETHING IS OFF WITH OUR PERCEPTION AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE RELATIONSHIP HELD WITH OUR POLITICIANS by William Thorpe

I'm a prisoner under Virginia's jurisdiction as such, my relative perception of the Virginia Politician is primarily under the rubric of the necessary and fundamental issue of prison reform and the Virginia prison officials' accountability-function. I BEGIN : There seems to be a disconnect with the perception, understanding and the anticipated response to or in other words there is this expectation, that in a lot of ways borders on the paternalistic, of the perception and understanding of the relationship held with the Virginia politician as if there is this confusion of the nature and exact terms of the relationship between the People and the Politician they voted for. For example, there is this murmuring that Governor-Elect Abigail Spanberger's position on Virginia's criminal justice infrastructure along with the inexorable and inevitable reform isn't clearly known and properly understood. Now publicly this is factual. However, the question and its speculation reveals something that is too damn fundamental to this simple and basic existence of being human, that society as a specific and particular entity has nothing to do with. In other words when an issue is developed and organized with that maturity of its critical mass, it dictates, because it is the will of the people. So the issue is then straight forward, the question of Virginia's Justice Infrastructure and reform of its Prison System, isn't dependent on the supposed benevolence or "morality" of a politician, but it is the work, energy and effort of its development as a critical mass value by the people within the demands of Virginia's Social Contract, because the savagery and barbarism of the Virginia prison officials professional behavior claims to have its legitimacy from the presumption that it is the desired intent and will of the People of Virginia. So if governmental activity claims its existence, as being supported by the people and if it is understood that the activity notwithstanding its supposed popular support is at odds and contrary to the constituted aspirations of the Social Contract, which in this case, is the Commonwealth of Virginia and the much needed reform of its decrepit Prison System, then the energies of the People should go towards reminding fellow Virginians, why dehumanization of the Virginia Prisoner as prison policy is simply incompatible with Virginia's civilization. Surrendering on this stance and the work of communicating the reminder to fellow Virginian, upon the expectation that elected politicians will instinctively remember their person hood and shake off that crystalized hypocrisy and its antagonisms that defined their electoral success, is quite frankly naiveté. What a Politician presents is relative responsiveness and the level of critical mass that will bring on their cognizance of that proverbial which way are the political winds blowing or in plain speak, to what extent is it politically advantageous or a liability. We cannot simply expect the status quo of which the politician is a foot soldier to recognize that the existence of its impunity as the mechanism of its business of pursuing its self-interest, its survival, as it pays lip service to "equality under law" as a sedative of control (which has nothing to do with "Justice") while concealing that its real existence is already in enmity with the people which is its two-faced nature, as it unmasks its true self, personified in the corrupted labor, but not absolved, of the Virginia Prison Official.
